What colors should i use for smokey eyes if i have hazel eyes?

I have hazel eyes, a medium complexion, and brown hair. I really need to know what colors i should use for a smokey eye for my prom night. My dress is azalea (a deep pinkish color) and i have silver accessories. My hair will be in long, loose, curls.

I want my eyes to be the center point of the look and dramatic, because my dress is very simple.

thank you sooooo much!!

What colors should i use for smokey eyes if i have hazel eyes?

Reply:For you, there are a couple of solutions to your question.

Here is the first...

The best colours that you could use would be peach with a light grey and a darker grey.

Start with the darkest grey on your inner eyelid then smudge out to the outer area.

You should then use the lighter grey to blend it with the darker colour.

Finally use the peach colour on the outer lid then blend with the other colours.

The second solution is a bit simpler than the first...

...Purple brings out the colour of your eyes which is Hazel.

In this case you would do the same as the first solution but use a dark purple on the inner lid and a lighter purple in the outer eyelid.
Reply:1. First you%26#039;ll need some eyeliner if you want your eyes to pop. Line your top lashes with dark brown or black, and if you must, a thin line on your bottom lashes.

2. Put a dark brown shadow on your lid and blend it into your eyeliner. Gently brush a bit of this shadow right under your bottom lashes as well.

3. Use a honey colored, slightly shimmery shadow that is just a touch darker than your skin tone above the crease and blend it into another lighter honey colored shadow right under your brow bone.

4. Curl your eyelashes if possible, and mascara them

The result? Something like this: (Hilary has hazel eyes too)

Reply:I found that deep purples work very well with hazel or brown eyes. Alltough the color of your dress is a pink i dont know how well purple and pink would match. So i suggest maybe just some earthy tones for example different shades of browns or creams that way your eyes will stay neutral and still go along with your dress....Have fun at prom =] hope i could help!!

Almay has eye makeup specialy designed for your eye color. i personally love their eye makeup and it really looks good on my eyes.
Reply:MAC%26#039;s N Collection would look good on you. they have a look that features the nanogold eyeshadow, combined with a dark brown eyeshadow, and it looks really good. i think it%26#039;ll look good with your hazel eyes.
Reply:She has a good smokey eye. I can%26#039;t really tell but I believe she has hazel eyes. Hope I could help :D

Reply:bronze or lavender
Reply:grey
Reply:purples look fantastic on hazel eyes, and will compliment your dress. here is my smokey eye...step by step and simple as can be... (feel free to substitute lighter shades and purple tones for the ones i mention)

start with a clean canvas...concealer, foundation, and/or powder in place. apply a thin layer of shadow base or eye primer to the entire lid (urban decay primer potion, mary kay eye primer, merle norman automatic shadow base, or mac eye primer)

black or dark grey shadow in the shape of a sideways V on the corner of the eye, working into the crease (i use merle norman shadow in ebony and a palladio flat shadow brush)

lighter grey shimmer shadow over the lid, blending into the first darker shade (i use mac shadow in idol eyes and a mark contour brush)

silvery/champagne shimmer shadow under the brow bone and dotted on inner corners of eyes with full shadow brush (i use merle norman luminous shadow in sun beam and an essence of beauty shader brush)

black liner all the way across top lid, slightly thicker on outer edges, and 3/4 way across bottom (avon glimmersticks liner in blackest black)

sweep thin line of medium shimmer grey under lower lash line, below and slightly over black liner

curl lashes and add 2 coats of volumizing black mascara (maybelline volum%26#039; express turbo boost 7Xs mascara in black)

-you can also do a smokey eye with shades of brown, purple, green... any color.

here are the shades i recommend from a few different brands for the basic black/grey....

-from mac: black tied, charred OR idol eyes, and shroom

-from lancome: the new black, style section OR volcano, and off the rack

-from merle norman: ebony, zinc OR stay steel, sun beam

-from avon: night sky, steel OR slate, iced silver

stila (at sephora) has a smokey eye kit that has 4 shadows in a palette...push a tiny button and a voice speaks instructions to you. there is also a holographic image of an eye that shows where the different shades go when you turn it. $40

also available at sephora are hard candy and smashbox. hard candy makes a shadow quad called %26quot;techno%26quot; that sells for $28, and smashbox makes a shadow trio called %26quot;twilight%26quot; that sells for $30. both are good for grey smokey eyes.

for drugstore palettes, try revlon, loreal, covergirl and maybelline. i know all of those lines carry them, but not sure of the names.

always keep lips light... glossy nudes are great with sexy smokey eyes.
